You will need a microphone to create the voice message and speakers to preview the message.  Most laptops have built-in microphones.  If you don't own a microphone you can purchase one at a computer store for about $10.

What do I do if the MailAmp toolbar is not showing up?

The MailAmp toolbar is in view when you use Outlook as your email editor but not when Word is set as your email editor.  To set Outlook as your email editor do the following:  In the main Outlook window click Tools - Options - and the Mail Format tab - Then uncheck the top two boxes that say to Use Microsoft Word for email editing.
